Feeling misunderstood by your partner can be painful and confusing. I work with couples just like you to help you overcome conflict, re-connect, and come to a better understanding of what your emotional needs are and how to meet them.
When individuals, who are complex, decide to build a life together, conflict, confusion, and discord can arise. I work with couples to help them understand what the root of their conflict is, and how to communicate more effectively in order to move forward in a way that helps the couple to develop and grow.
Gaining a better understanding of what your relationship needs are, can help you understand how your upbringing has impacted your current relationships, and how to move forward with more conscious choices.
When working with couples, my goal is to help you feel understood, and get to the heart of where the disconnect with your partner is happening.

Emotion-Focused Therapy
EFT is an attachment-based approach which helps couples strengthen their bond and re-open communication. EFT helps couples create a safe, secure bond that then makes it easier for them to communicate openly and effectively. EFT is research-based and proven to help struggling couples reconnect and grow closer.
intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO)
is an innovative IFS based approach to couples therapy that integrates empirically supported methods from IFS, psychodynamic theory, systems thinking and neuroscience. IFIO helps each member of the couples to understand their own subpersonalities (parts) and the subpersonalities of their partner. By gaining a deeper understanding of their relational pattern couples will begin to learn more resilient and connected relational patterns where both parties feel heard, respected and loved.
